Split Training Option

The Split Training program allows you to join the Guard while still attending high school or college. In order to enlist, you must be at least 17 years old, a junior in high school, and have written permission from a parent or legal guardian. You would attend Basic Combat Training in the summer. Upon returning to school, you will train one weekend a month with your local Recruit Sustainment Program (RSP). The summer following graduation, you’ll then attend Advanced Individual Training (AIT) to complete your Military Occupational Skills (MOS) training. This program is a great way to start serving and doubles as a great income during school. For more information on the split training option, contact your local recruiter.
