Guard to Guard Transfers

If you are already enlisted in the National Guard and want to transfer to Michigan, you must first notify your assigned unit and contact your current state’s Interstate Transfer Coordinator (IST). The IST will then provide you with a list of vacant unit positions for the state you wish to transfer. Interstate transfer can only be made possible upon completion of the form NGB Form 22­5­R­E. For more information, call 517-481-9833.
