Basic Combat Training

Basic Combat Training (BCT) is the path that transforms civilians into Soldiers. Over the course of ten weeks, recruits learn basic tactical and survival skills, how to shoot, and how to march. They will also learn the basics of Army life and military customs and courtesies, including the Seven Core Army Values. BCT will push the recruit’s mind and body to new limits, giving them a deeper respect for themselves and those around them.

Before going to BCT it is very important to prepare mentally, physically and receive support from family and friends. Also knowing what to bring, leave at home and what personal affairs to take care of before leaving such as bills, household or child custody matters. After BCT you will be ready for the next step Advanced Individual Training (AIT).
